I was a fan of the Billy Bunter books,the Secret Seven,Famous Five and I liked Heidi-not sure that one was aimed at boys!

A lot of TV series have been made over the years of children's books. I watched 'Just William' with Bonnie Langford playing Violet Elizabeth Bott and 'Billy Bunter of Greyfriars School' with Gerald Campion playing the part of Billy. He was 29 years old at the time in real life.

Never quite the same as the books but not bad television.
