Quote from: camper6 on February 08, 2024, 08:53:58 AMWish I could join you.  I miss those days.  Most of my friends are gone.

The only thing we can say is we had those times full of friends and thinking it would last forever. Some don't last long enough even for that. The friend I went to the pub with is a couple of years older than me. One of the few left. I think we're all playing 'last man standing'. :)

We were meant to be playing golf but with the rain we've had they've closed our course so we're going for coffee at 09.30

Good morning - It's 8.30 a.m. and another wet and drab morning in southern UK but mild at +10°C. Just a couple of hundred miles North and they are getting snow. Strange old weather.

A friend is coming here this morning. The one who owns the allotment I help out with. She's not coming to see me. We see enough of each other at the allotment. She is coming to see Mrs Mart. Her and her husband have been our friends for well over forty years. It was him that I went to the pub with yesterday.

Mrs Mart wants me to take her to Hobbycraft this afternoon to buy some material for making a quillow. It's a small quilt that folds up into cushion (why don't they call it a cullow then?).

Have a good day everyone :)

Good morning - Yesterday brightened and dried up as the day went on and that has continued through to this morning. It's dry and a bit brighter with a temperature of +8°C.

Nothing planned but might have a wander around the car boot sale. This is held every Thursday and Saturday at the Community Centre, only a short walk away.

Family often visits at weekends too.

Hoping everyone has a good day. :)
