80th Anniversary of D Day June 1944

June 6th.  The 80th Anniversary of D Day.  My memories from the past when I was 11 years old.  I remember my teacher explaining what was happening on that day.

I also remember the Raid on Dieppe which was designed to find out what the forces was up against..  200 killed.  That was in 1942 It was a disaster.  The forces lost their surprise and met fierce resistance.

Our class was marched to the church next door to pray for the soldiers.

I was wondering to myself.  If we were praying and the German kids were praying, who God would be listening to.
